What is Savanna Works?
Savanna Works offers high-quality living and working space for discerning digital nomads in Swakopmund, Namibia. Our luxurious apartments are designed for long-term stays and offer a first-class working environment as well as the opportunity to experience Namibia’s breathtaking nature.
Where is Savanna Works located?
Our apartments are located in Swakopmund, a town on the Atlantic coast of Namibia known for its pleasant climate, safety and numerous recreational opportunities. The accommodation is within walking distance of the town center. From 2026, an exclusive co-living house with integrated coworking space will also open in the city center.
Booking & Stay
What is the minimum length of stay?
The minimum length of stay is one month.
Why at least one month?
We know from our own experience that shorter stays are not enough to combine a productive work routine with exploring the surroundings. One month offers enough time to settle in, work efficiently and really experience Namibia at the same time.
How do I book a stay?
Bookings can be made via our website. Our team is available for individual questions or special requests.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit cards, bank transfers and selected online payment services.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Please refer to our booking policy for cancellation and rebooking conditions. We endeavor to offer flexible solutions.
What is included in the price?
The rent includes use of the fully equipped apartment with high-speed internet, cleaning service and access to our concierge service.
Work & Internet
How good is the internet?
Our apartments are equipped with fast and stable fiber optic internet, so you can easily hold video conferences and send large files.
Are there co-working spaces nearby?
From 2026, our own co-living house with coworking space will open, which will be a central meeting point for our guests and the local community. Until then, there are a few cafés in Swakopmund with a good working atmosphere.
How are the workspaces in the apartments equipped?
Each apartment has a spacious workstation with ergonomic furniture, a height-adjustable desk and modern lighting – ideal for long, concentrated periods of work.
Life in Swakopmund
Do I need a car in Swakopmund?
Swakopmund is easily accessible on foot and many stores, cafés and leisure facilities are within easy reach. If you are planning further excursions, you can hire a car through our concierge service.
What is the climate like in Swakopmund?
The climate is pleasantly temperate with cool Atlantic winds. While the temperatures in Namibia are often extreme, Swakopmund is usually pleasant.
Are there any shopping facilities for food?
Yes, supermarkets in Swakopmund are well stocked. There are also specialty stores for international products.
Leisure & Community
Can I network with other guests?
Yes, if you want to. We offer various opportunities for exchange and joint activities, but everyone decides for themselves how much social interaction they want.
Windhoek is the capital, isn’t it more interesting to be there?
Although Windhoek is the capital of Namibia, the city offers only limited leisure activities. Moreover, it is not advisable to move around there on foot, as the security situation does not permit this. Swakopmund, on the other hand, is a safe, pedestrian-friendly city with an exceptionally wide range of leisure activities – from breathtaking nature experiences to action-packed activities.
Are there any organized activities?
We offer occasional community events and optional excursions to show guests the best of Namibia.

Which airport is the nearest?
The nearest international airport is Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek. From there, there are various transportation options to Swakopmund.
Do I need a visa for Namibia?
From April 1, 2025, all German citizens must apply for a visa in advance. We are happy to help with any questions or uncertainties.
Do I need special vaccinations?
Swakopmund is located in a malaria-free zone. We recommend checking current medical recommendations before traveling.

Is Swakopmund safe?
Yes, Swakopmund is one of the safest cities in Namibia. It is easy to get around on foot, even in the evening.
What is the cost of living?
Prices vary depending on lifestyle, but in general food, leisure activities and transportation are cheaper than in many major European cities.
What if I need assistance during my stay?
Each guest has a personal contact person who is available for questions, requests and recommendations throughout their stay.
